A gente adora comida em miniatura, não é? A gente sempre brinca que é a comida ideal, porque não engorda... :)
We love miniature food, right? We always make a joke about it saying it's the perfect food, because it'll never make you fat... :)

Mas não é que um chef de sushi em Tókio resolveu fazer sushis de verdade em miniatura? Tinha que ser japonês mesmo, né? rsrs...
Well, this sushi chef from Tokyo took this obsession with miniature food one step ahead and decided to make real sushi in miniature! Give it to the Japanese to try that, lol...

Segundo ele, tudo começou com uma brincadeira com um cliente, para quem ele fez um mini-sushi. Aí ele resolveu testar seus limites para ver qual era o menor tamanho que conseguia fazer. Ele diz que leva muito mais tempo para fazer cada mini-sushi do que um normal (a gente entende isso, não é mesmo ;) ?) E eles fazem muito sucesso entre os jovens e estudantes. Alguns clientes juram que o sabor é especial, ainda melhor. Bem, essa parte eu não entendo muito não, hehe....
According to him, it all started with a joke with a customer, to whom he made a mini-sushi. Then he decided to test his own limits to see how small he could make one. It took him 13 years to perfect the technique and he says it takes longer to make a miniature sushi than a regular one - well, we understand that part, don't we? :) And those mini-sushi are very successful among students. Some of his regular clients swear that they taste special, much better than regular ones. Well, that part I don't quite understand, lol....

Cidade em miniatura na Holanda - A Miniature City in the Netherlands

O nome é Madurodam (http://www.madurodam.nl/en/). Uma cidade completa com aeroporto, porto, usina de vento (que ecológico!), teatro, galeria de heróis e muito mais. E na escala humana os visitantes contam com restaurantes, hotéis, acessibilidade, e muito conforto. Taí um lugar que eu gostaria de visitar! :)

The name is Madurodam (http://www.madurodam.nl/en/). It's a complete city with airport, port, wind turbines (how green of them!), theater, heroes gallery and lots more. And in life size scale you can enjoy restaurants, hotels, full accessibility for people with disabilities, it all seems very comfy. That's the kind of place I'd love to spend my next vacation at! :)

Um dos efeitos mais nobres das miniaturas é a preservação da história e da cultura. Para presentear Uberaba pelos seus 194 anos, o artesão José Eduardo Araujo criou uma exposição que conta um pouco da história da cidade através dos seus prédios em miniatura.

One of the most noble 'side effects' of miniatures is the preservation of history and culture. As a gift to the city Uberaba for its 194 anniversary, the craftsman José Eduardo Araujo created an exhibit that tells a little bit of the history of the city through it's buildings in miniature.

Eu adoro essas revistas maravilhosas só sobre miniaturas importadas! Mas uma assinatura custa caro. Ou é em dólar, ou é em libras... E com o preço do frete, vixi! Teve um ano que assinei uma, me dei de presente, sabe como é... Não é que os correios 'perderam' 3 edições??? A editora foi fantástica, e mandou outras para mim, mas vamos combinar que não é culpa deles e é frustrante a demora para receber e, pior ainda, ficar sem receber...
I just love those wonderful magazines specialized in miniatures! But usually a subscription is quite expensive. Especially with the international shipping included, omg! Some years ago I did subscribe to one of them, as a special gift to myself, you know... And the postal system 'lost' not less than 3 of the 12 issues!!! The editors were fantastic and sent me replacements, but that kind of thing is not their fault, right? It's very frustrating to wait a long time to get them and it's even worse when they never come...

Eu achei a solução! Tenho agora assinaturas digitais. A gente acessa o site que vende a assinatura, paga com cartão de crédito ou Paypal e lê as edições lá mesmo! Você pode acessar pelo computador, tablet ou smartphone! E pode ler sempre que quiser. Ah, e fica bem mais em conta!!! E você também tem a opção de comprar números individuais, nem precisa assinar. Não tem espera, não tem extravio... Adorei!
I found the solution! Now I only have digital subscriptions. You can access the website that sells the subscriptions, pay with credit card or Paypal, and you read the issues right there! You can access them using your computer, tablet or smartphone! And you can read the issues you bought whenever you want. It's way more affordable!!! And you can also buy individual issues, as you wish. No need to wait for delivery, no issues lost on the way... I loved it!

Pessoal, em 2014 o website do DollHouse Brazil vai passar por uma grande reestruturação. Algumas páginas vão sair e outras ainda melhores vão entrar...

Por exemplo, vou remover as páginas com links para blogs, sites, lojas, etc.

Eu também quero esses links, mas de um jeito melhor e mais dinâmico. Para isso preciso da ajuda de todos que têm link lá: Cadastrem-se no Minis Vitrine, que também É parte do DHB e coloque você mesmo um "anúncio" ou link para o SEU site, SUA loja, SEU blog, etc. (e isso é que faz a diferença, pois você poderá manter atualizado quando ou se houver alguma mudança!!!)
