This Brazilian artisan makes miniature reproductions of impressive buildings from all over the world using small pieces of glass! A smaller one might take up to 8 hours of work, not considering the time needed on studying the original and planning the miniature itself. Amazing!

O artista Michael Paul Smith recriou suas lembranças de infância em miniatura e tira fotos impecáveis, que ficam parecendo fotos de uma cidade em escala real, mesmo quando você sabe que são miniaturas. Confira!

Would this be the result of the art of photograpy? The art of miniature making? The art of illusion? None of that, or... all of that and much more. The artist Michael Paul Smith has recreated his childhood memories in miniature and then he takes perfect pictures of the scenes, which actually do look like a life-size vintage town, even when you already know they are miniatures. Um dos efeitos mais nobres das miniaturas é a preservação da história e da cultura. Para presentear Uberaba pelos seus 194 anos, o artesão José Eduardo Araujo criou uma exposição que conta um pouco da história da cidade através dos seus prédios em miniatura.

One of the most noble 'side effects' of miniatures is the preservation of history and culture. As a gift to the city Uberaba for its 194 anniversary, the craftsman José Eduardo Araujo created an exhibit that tells a little bit of the history of the city through it's buildings in miniature.

E agora seu talento está começando a ser reconhecido também fora deste pequeno 'circuito'. Foi publicada em um jornal e irá à feira de miniaturas de Portual.

The lucky Brazilian miniature lovers who had the chance to go to Febramini last year, or to the main online group meeting, already know her. Rose Favero is a very talented miniaturist and now her talent is also being discovered 'outside' the 'circuit'. A local newspaper has recently published an article about her work and she's been invited to go to the Miniatures show in Portugal.
